1/ Are you licensed?
Yes our company is licensed, bonded and insured.
Our license covers MD and VA.
You can check the good standing of our VA license.
2/ Do you use subcontractors?
On occasion we use approved, licensed and insured subcontractors. However, the overwhelming majority of our projects are built by our professionally trained employees.
3/ Where do I buy material?
We have developed great relationships with vendors over the years. We would assist you shop and purchase material from them. We are also flexible in shopping for material at vendors of your choice.
4/ Do you pull permits?
Yes, if your project requires a permit. A good rule of thumb is if you are making any structural or trade modifications, then your project may require a permit. We will determine this during our initial consultation and include this item in our estimate.
5/ Do you offer free estimates?
Yes, our initial consultation is free. We will discuss with you the scope of your project and provide a detailed written estimate. However, our second consultation has a $40 service fee that is refundable upon a signed contract.
6/ What is included with the free estimate?
Our written estimates are very detailed that encompass the entire project scope from demolition to completion. We also provide allowances for materials to be purchased by the homeowner. This gives you a good idea of what you can expect to spend on finish materials, i.e. appliances, cabinets, countertops, flooring, plumbing/electrical fixtures, tile, etc. Finally, we will provide you with an estimated total cost of your project, an approximate time frame and finally a potential start date. Keep in mind that, without knowing your budget we will provide our best guess as to how much you are willing to spend on finish materials. It is always best to discuss with your contractor how much you anticipate spending.
7/ Can you provide plans?
Yes, if your project requires building plans we can create the drawings and submit for review. We also offer floor plans with your project and cabinet design elevations, if applicable. However, these services are not included in our free estimate.
8/ Do you help design?
Yes, our staff and our partners can help you from start to finish.
9/ How long will it take to remodel my kitchen? A bathroom?
Keep in mind that no two projects are alike; however a standard kitchen remodel takes about 2-3 weeks. A typical bathroom is usually the same.
10/ Are you EPA LEAD certified?
Yes, we are an EPA certified firm.
According to EPA website: "New lead certification is required for any and all renovation activities that disturb more than 6 square feet of interior or 20 square feet of exterior lead paint in residential or child-occupied facilities built before 1978." Please let us know at the time of the estimate if your house was built before 1978."
11/ Can you provide references?
Yes, we generally provide you with over 30 references of past customers with our written estimate, so you can contact our past clients’ at your convenience.
12/ How long have you been in business? How reputable is your company?
We have been open for business since October 2004. We are a Better Business Bureau member since inception with no complaints to date. We are also an Angie’s list and Consumer Checkbook member. We encourage you to Google our company name and you will find plenty of references and affiliations that will validate our reputation.
13/ How long does it take to receive a written estimate?
After our initial consultation, we will provide you with a written estimate within 1 week unless otherwise specified.
14/ What will the estimate provide me with?
The written estimate provides you with a firm price for your remodeling project, to the exception of any material allowances that will depend on your final selection. The estimate is valid for 60 days, after that we may revise the quote and slightly adjust prices for any labor or building material price adjustment.
The estimate can also be revised for free, so if the price is not right, we will be more than happy to price a plan B. Don’t hesitate to talk to your estimator.
15/ How soon can you start?
Your potential start date will be included with your written estimate. Keep in mind the scope of your project and the materials needed to complete. For example, some cabinet manufacturers may take 6-8 weeks for product delivery.
16/Do you offer green product upgrades for any building material?
Yes, we can assist you if you wish to upgrade any building material used for your project to more environmental friendly alternatives. That can include drywall, insulation, flooring, cabinets, paint, light bulbs, plumbing fixtures, etc…
17/ Will your estimate includes all materials?
Yes, our estimates are all-inclusive. However if you wish to supply the finish materials, just let us know at the initial consultation. We require all materials furnished by you are at the project site on the first day of construction.
18/ Are you bonded?
Yes, we comply with state and county requirements.
19/ Can you provide a certificate of insurance?

20/ Do you offer warranty?
Yes, we offer a 1 year warranty on all our trade work and a 90 day warranty on all cosmetic
21/ Do you consider your services to be expensive?
Our goal is to provide a quality service for a reasonable profit. We take great pride in every project we complete and strive to provide a great quality service at a reasonable price. We suggest you get 3 estimates from licensed and insured contractors for your project and you be the judge.

23/ What are your hours of operations?
The work crews work 8AM to 5PM Monday thru Saturday unless otherwise specified by contractor. The office hours are 8AM to 6PM Monday to Friday; 8AM to 1PM every other Saturday. Sunday is closed.

25/ Do you take care of pulling permissions from any Home Owner Association if required?
No, this is the job of the homeowner, we can assist you and provide you with any document they may request, but we leave it up to you entirely to deal with them.

Yes, we can assist you from the plans to the final inspection after job completion.
